Wards reached across Kasarani Constituency
Over two weeks, more than 150 footballers across five wards in Kasarani were trained. The program was comprehensive, covering a wide range of first aid skills tailored specifically for sports-related injuries From assessing injuries and managing fractures to administering CPR and handling heat-related emergencies, participants were empowered with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to sports-related incidents.
The project also identified 22 passionate individuals who underwent a specialized “Train the Trainer” program. This select group, drawn from the local community, will play a pivotal role in cascading their knowledge and skills to fellow athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts, ensuring the sustainability and scalability of our initiative.
The culmination of the training program was a certification event held at the Kasarani Constituency Development Fund (CDF) office in Njiru. It was a moment of pride and celebration as course participants showcased their proficiency in first-aid techniques and received well-deserved recognition for their commitment to promoting athlete safety and well-being.
